Part 2. Another 3 Helpful Methods to Burn Videos to CD

All of which, despite being more commonly used to play media, offer a burn feature that will allow you to burn videos onto a disc. In order, we’re going to be covering iTunes, Windows Media Player, and VLC!
MethodCan you Burn Video to CD with iTunes?
Step One: Creating a Playlist
The first program is iTunes. Which, despite the fact that you can use it to process videos on iOS devices, cannot actually be used to burn video to CDs. You might, on the other hand, find it useful for burning audio: which we demonstrate down below. The first step in burning with iTunes is to create a playlist of the media you want to burn.
Step Two: Burn Playlist
Once you have your playlist all set, you need to locate the “Burn Playlist to Disc” option in the File tab (as is shown in the image below.) That will prompt a pop-up window wherein you can burn media to CD!
Step Three: Burn Settings
For our final step, we’re going to be covering how the Burn Settings window will be settled.
- ● Preferred Speed: First, you have to select the speed you want your CD to burn. (Choosing slower speeds can help produce higher-quality discs.)
- ● Disc Format: Choose Audio CD for uncompressed audio, choose MP3 CD for compressed audio, and choose Data Discs to burn a playlist filled with a mixture of different types of audio.
Click “Burn” when you’re done to initiate the permanent copy of your files with iTunes.
Method 2. How to Burn Video to CD with Windows Media Player
Step One: Import Media
Unlike with iTunes, you can burn both videos and music to CD with the Windows media player. All you have to do is import the video/audio you want to burn and then click the “Burn” tab to start.
Step Two: Drag Audio/Video and Drop to Burn List
Next, similar to creating a playlist with iTunes, you will need to create a Burn List. This burn list can be made out of both audio and video. Just make sure to drag the items into the correct area (highlighted in the image below).
Step Three: Start Burn
Once you’ve selected the audio and video to make up your burn list, all you need to do to initiate the copy process is to click the “Start Burn” button. That should burn your video/audio onto a CD for you!
Method 3. Can VLC be used to Burn Video to CD?
Step One: Create a Playlist
Similar to iTunes, VLC does not fully support the burning of videos. It can be done, but only specifically formatted videos. Down below, we’re going to be showing you the process of burning video/audio to CD with VLC - To burn audio/video with VLC, you need to create a playlist first. Create a Playlist by dragging and dropping media onto the screen.
Step Two: Convert/Save
Once the media has been imported, you need to locate and then select the Convert/Save… option in the Media tab.
Step Three: Burn
Finally, if you follow the instructions as they are listed below, you should have yourself a CD with audio/video burned into it. Activate the Disc tab, choose Audio CD (if you’re burning audio to CD) or SVCD/VCD (if you’re burning formatted video to CD), browse your PC for the burner with a blank disc inside of it, and then click Convert/Save to finish up.
